Waiting times: A European logistics problem
Research conducted in various European countries indicates that extended waiting times for loading and unloading are a continent-wide issue. In Spain, according to a report by CEL and CargoON, as many as 70% of carriers have to wait over an hour to load, significantly affecting their ability to complete orders on time. Similar challenges are observed in other European countries, where poor management of loading and unloading areas leads to significant delays, overtime costs, and additional operational expenses.
This inefficiency impacts not only the financial results of transport companies but also the quality of services provided to customers, potentially leading to a loss of competitiveness in the market.
