Centrum Pali, a leading manufacturer of prefabricated reinforced concrete piles, faced this challenge and decided to take steps to significantly improve efficiency. The implementation of the CargoON platform, along with the Dock Scheduler module, proved to be a true game-changer, the details of which we present in our latest case study.

The Weight of the Challenge – Literally and Figuratively

As part of the international Per Aarsleff Holding A/S group, Centrum Pali manages large-scale transport operations daily. Each truck carrying foundation piles transports loads up to 57 linear meters in length and weighing up to 24 tons. On average, 60 fully loaded trucks depart from the company’s warehouses daily, putting enormous pressure on the entire logistics infrastructure.

Race Against Time

Before implementing the CargoON platform, Centrum Pali faced challenges common to many companies in the construction industry: long queues of trucks, extended loading wait times, and resulting dissatisfaction among drivers and carriers. The wait time for loading reached up to five hours, negatively impacting the efficiency of the entire process.

The implementation of Dock Scheduler in 2021 allowed for digitalizing these processes, resulting in impressive outcomes. Currently, the wait time has been significantly reduced to as little as 20 minutes. Furthermore, organizing transports more effectively has enabled better use of human resources—employees who were previously occupied with coordinating loads can now be assigned to other warehouse tasks, greatly boosting overall operational efficiency.
